good A-levels for law

Hi, I would like to be a solicitor, probably more family based and want to go on and study law at a Uni. i was just wondering if i have taken the right Alevels. i took
Enlgish Lit
History
and sociology (for the family aspect as I'm am more aimed at family law)
I didn't do the A-level law because I was told you didn't need it to do it at A-level, is that correct and can i still get into a top uni to study law with really good grades in these subjects?

Your subjects are perfect although I would've taken Economics rather than English Lit since you've already taken History. Secondly, if you're planning to study Law in the UK I would've taken A level law since it helps but does NOT give an advantage.
