S5/Higher Subject Choices

I've just been given my S5/higher course choice sheet and am unsure how important it is to take maths. I want to study languages at uni so I obviously don't need it for that but people are telling me it could be important for getting a job later down the line.

It's not that I think I would find it too hard as I got an A in the nat 5 prelim but I just really don't enjoy it.

The subjects I would like to take are
english
french
spanish
history
photography/art,

I'm worried they're all too essay based and not mathsy or sciency enough. Also I don't want to do any highers in S6 as I think I'm going to do three advanced highers (in spanish, french and history) so I can't do any of them then instead.

Opinions and suggestions would be really helpful!

As long as Maths isn't an entry for any unis and you are 100% sure you are applying for languages then you don't have to take it. I didn't take Higher English and got accepted into Strathclyde for Maths and Physics.
