How does it feel knowing that Stormzy did better than most people on here at GCSEs?

He got 6A*s at GCSE.

Good for him, although the majority of users here are not bothered about it.

too bad gcse are useless

goals tbh
Most people do 12 or more on the student room
If we all did 6 we would have more focus on those subjects
Therefore, we would've done better than that of 12-13 gcse's

Better than me?

Shut up.
I mean you'd have to look at the calibre distribution of users on SR

which would actually be interesting to find out...

or the correlation between hours on SR and grades

[forgive me.. i digress ]

He did 14 GCSEs. He got 6 A*s, 3 As and 5 Bs.
Not going to lie, does make me feel like **** but then again he did do really well so congrats to him! However, I'm pretty sure he didn't do as well during AS or A-Levels as he got ABCD or something. But he is clearly a bright individual.

to be honest an ABCDE isn't bad considering what he wanted to do doesn't require a-levels.
What's this got to do with anything? Just because he's a grime artist doesn't mean he isn't clever
Ngl that does make me feel pretty crap because he didnt need good gcses to get where he is now but he did so well, whereas i need them and i did quite rubbish in comparison.

But he has eliminated stereotypes, good on him!

What alevels did he do. ABCDE is still good considering he did 5

He's obviously put in a lot of effort, and worked extremely hard to get to where he is now. Which is amazing regardless of the grades he got! There will be people with better grades who aren't anywhere near as successful he is, and likewise, there'll be people with 'way worse' grades that are considered a lot more successful. I don't quite get what the thread is getting at in regards to pointing out his grades to be honest.

I'm not Stormzy and he is not me.

His grades have no relevance to me, so why should I feel anything about it?
I got 8 so tell my man shut up
only 6A*s elementary performance
Really?? I'm sure he was excluded from school numerous times

It's the fact that he's challenged a stereotype due to his educational achievements. Black boys from his background, statistically are not supposed to have such good grades at GCSE for a variety of reasons.
