What actually happens if you leave school under 18?

I think it’s good to go to school until you’re 18 just to give you qualifications to back you up if you ever need them. It’s difficult having to go to school with how mentally and physically draining it is but at the end of the day, it has helped a lot of people get out of financial struggle.

I don't know but when I left secondary school I started at a new sixth form out of county and we were hounded with letters by the council wanting to know why i wasn't in education. We had to send evidence that I was- they only had info for schools in county and apologised. Not sure what would have happened if I wasn't doing anything! Was juicy though made me feel like a rebel even though I was taking a-levels lol.
But yeah I see loads of people not doing anything and they seem to get away with it. Training as part of a job counts so i think people use that as an excuse a lot
