Can I resit GCSEs in college, leave, and then apply back to sixth form?

In conjunction to my previous question on the site, will it be possible to resist GCSEs and then apply back to Sixth Form with better grades and leave college to join? Any help is appreciated.

Yes you can definitely apply, there is no guarantee that your application would be successful.
You may discover that you prefer the college environment.

It's just that I want to stay on at school, and I feel like I don't want to leave it and leave everyone behind. It's also the fact that I'd like to get A-Levels as well, but doing a dedicated course would be my strong suit. I'll bare your point in mind for the foreseeable future that a college environment would be something I'd prefer.
