Student House Deposit help (TDS)

My student house last year was an assured shorthold tenancy agreement lasting for 12 months. In the tenancy agreement we signed, it says our deposit is held under the terms of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS).

We moved about 20 days ago today, still waiting for our deposit, but we did have an information sheet in the house that says we get it within 4 weeks. As this wasn't in the contract, I guess maybe I could've requested it and under the TDS I should've received it 10 days from then.

Anyway, I went on the TDS website and put my details in, first using my name and then my housemates' names. It kept giving the error that there was no such deposit under their scheme with those details. I also tried the 2 other big schemes but my details weren't found.

Could this be a mistake? If not, has my landlord not put my deposit into a deposit protection scheme meaning I can legally claim back 1 to 3 times the amount as stated in the Housing Act 2004? Can I simply as my landlord for the details??
