I've already seen Christmas Jobs being Advertised since August so, I would get looking now tbh.
Already plenty of jobs looking for temporary Christmas staff.

Tesco always have plenty of Christmas vacancies, many are being advertised now
As others have said, look now! Most start August/September, and stop taking people around early November, or even late October.
