Contract with Sainsbury’s

I started a new job with Sainsbury’s my start date was meant to be 8th of October however they had no one to take induction so was told to come back 15th October I did started work that day and have not been out on system or giving a employee number I’ve constantly chased my manager for this and he says finally I’m on the system ( 6th November) I’ve called HR to query this as I want to make sure I’m getting my full pay and got told my start date according to them is 3rd of November three weeks after my actual start date inquired about this to my manager who says don’t worry about it he will sort it but I don’t think he will ... what can I do to make sure get my pay backdated ..? HR have told me only the manager can change the start date ..
