Like eveywhere else there will be problems. However Exeter expelled the culprits last year showing they wont tolerate it. Anyone daft enough to try it again is going to suffer the same result so there is actually far less likelyhood there than elsewhere now.

As I know someone who goes to Exeter uni, they have told me it is quite a racist city itself and that BAME make up a really small percentage. There goes alot which is un-said and can only be witnessed once there, but is a great city and uni is amazing.
There is racism everywhere, but I don't think it should stop you from doing what you want.
