Minerva... good or bad?

Done quite a bit of research on the uni, wanted to know other people's opinions... is it a scam? is it a waste of money?
The travelling appeals to me because I love languages but the skype calls put me off a bit.
Does anyone have any other uni suggestions? I want to do Mandarin as a major but thats not usually a common thing as its usually people's minor.
Bump.
It sounds incredibly entertaining but it feels like an extended gap year to me... I don't know how employers would look upon it either as it's an incredibly new institution. Interesting prospect I must say and I will be eager to see what the first few cohorts get up to after graduation. Mandarin is lovely.

Could look into SOAS.

Quite a few more other institutions do BA's in Chinese such as Manchester, Leeds, Oxford etc.

Minerva is a bit weird. It's education ideas are based off a single study done over 40 years ago, and it's so new we've no idea how employers deal with degrees attained from there.

I'd give it a pass, especially considering its 2% admission rate.
