Imo its not going to make any difference, neither are bad or significantly outstanding or notable.

If it was a choice between the two I would visit and look at other factors, such as course, location, cost of living, facilities etc. Maybe post in the law sub forum and sub forums for each uni to see if you can connect with law students there.

Hi there! I’m currently studying at Keele University so if there’s any questions you’d like to ask me about the univeristy, university life or anything else then please don’t hesitate! It’s a hard decision to make so I understand that you’re going to need as much information as possible!

I have done some research and Keele is ranked higher than Essex for Law on The Complete University Guide website. You can use this link to have a look yourself - https://www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/league-tables/rankings/law

I also lived with two students who were studying Law at Keele and they both achieved fantastic grades!

I think it would be a good idea to attend open days for the universities so you can get the full picture. You can book an open day for Keele using this link if you wish - https://www.keele.ac.uk/discover/opendays/undergraduateopendays/
thanks for all comments
