Holidays and overtime Entitlements

Hi I. Work six hours per week on a basic flat salary and get unsociable hours at time and three quarter from the morning shift to 6 am.

I have done a lot of overtime for the company due to staffing. I was wondering as I only get 6/7 days hols per year should I get more holiday’s?
As I have done a lot of overtime for my company this year.

It’s come to my attention on my handbook
*when you work your number of hour's worked in any one week contractual hours. overtime will be paid at flat rate up to the full time contractual hours.
*Overtime exceeded full time contact contractual hours will be paid at time and a half.
* overtime exceeding full-time contractual hours work Between midnight and 6 am will be paid at a double time.

I don’t get paid that I get a timer and a quarter up to 6 am and then my flat rate pay.
Anyone can give me any advice please

Check with payroll why there is a difference.
You may be on a different sort of contract.
I dont think you will get extra holiday because its simply overtime and different rules apply.

You can also contact Acas
Acas helpline number is 0300 123 1100. It is available Monday to Friday 8am-6pm

Acas can confirm, but holiday entitlement is based on what contractual fixed hours you work for a company.
Overtime if paid can be a different rate.

There may or may not be some discrepancy on what you are being paid. Theres no harm in just asking the people in finance who deal with pay to explain the calculation.

Ring Acas if unhappy or unsure. They specialise in employment issues.

Cant give you a more definitive answer than that.

You won't get double time for that period as your not working full time. If however you did enough overtime to go over the full time contracted hours you'd get paid more for anything over that. It's normally around the 38 to 42 hours mark.

You probably wouldn't get any extra holiday but you should get paid for the average that you work over the last 12 weeks.
For example I've just had a week off work and was paid for me contracted hours and then for another 6 hours as I normally do that much overtime a week.
