I’m not sure who to use as an academic reference. I finished high school last year and I dropped out of uni a last month.

A new uni application?
I would email your old uni tutor (if you left on good terms, and providing the reasons why you left were to pursue a new course, not because you failed...)
If not your uni tutor, you could always ask a former school teacher or tutor you got on with.
Most people are willing to do these to help someone out
