If I came out with the second to top grade at AS level

And it goes on ucas, but I chose to drop out altogether and do a btec because I couldn’t cope with that AS level in class, and it destroyed my other A levels and the AS is dragging me down, will unis wonder why I did not continue the AS?

Perhaps but it probably wont affect your application.

They'll look at qualifications you have/are completing and make a judgment on that not ones you didn't complete.

More then likely will have minimal impact (if any at all).
