English Lit UG abroad or UK?

Hi,

I'm really worried about the costs of a UK degree.
(yeah ik it's all loans but I don't want to come out of uni £27k+ in debt, yanno?)

To get the most value for money, I'm torn between wanting to study English Lit at Durham (the best for English) or Oxford/Cambridge, the supposed best in the UK, and give a prestigious reputation too.

Would it benefit me to study English Lit abroad? I know degrees are cheaper in some places, and you can be taught in English too. Sadly, I think Brexit will have messed with this :frown:

I speak Thai and have dual citizenship, so was debating studying English at Stamford Uni in Thailand

I would say study here. I’m not sure about your future plan but wouldn’t UK education looks better on your CV? Of course Stamford is a good uni but oxbridge is still a lot better and you would gain more recognition from that? At the end of the day, it’s your uni experience and what’s on your cv that’s matter.
