If you debit card gets stolen at night what do you do? Can you call your hard holder to freeze it at night or how does it work at night?

The phone lines should be open 24 hours for lost/stolen reports.

Check your card issuer's web site for the number for reporting lost/stolen cards. Add it to your phone's contacts list. This number should be available 24/7.

Also, you can normally temporarily block a card in your bank's smartphone app. This is helpful if you think you might have misplaced your card rather than lost it.
