bank account for maintenance loan

When you are getting maintenance loan paid to ur account, what sort of card do you need to have? debit, credit...? do you need to specifically open a student bank account to get maintenance loan?

I remember when I was filling out the form it said to give details of bank account where it accepts credits or something

It needs to be paid to a current account - it can be a standard current account or a student current account. Current accounts come with a debit card so that you can access your money.
