University Car Parks
If you have to drive to university every day, is the car park next to the University Free for students or at least cheap. Specifically for Newcastle or Durham university near the Business school.

Not sure about these two specifically, but in general no, not cheap and not available to "ordinary" students. There will be a priority list with disabled staff and students, people working night shifts, medics on long distance placements, people with children in the uni cresh, senior staff etc all ahead of you in the queue. There should be a web page somewhere for each institution giving its parking policy.
