UCL - BASc Arts and Sciences offer holders

Hello, I thought I would start this discussion for BASc Arts & Sciences offer holders to see if we can share information and engage with each other

I have an offer but could not make the offer day because of the snow and train cancellations.

I am hoping to major in Economics and the cannot choose what I should minor in So much choice.

Are others set on what they will choose or really open to many options?

I also have an offer and went to the open day, but I think I will do Natsci instead. But...
You wouldn't necessarily major in just econ, but rather 'societies' ('science and engineering' technically also included econ but id assume societies). If you major in in 'societies' then you have to minor in either 'health and environment' or 'science and engineering'. But for the 'science and engineering' you need certain prerequisite like maths a level i think. societies major and health and environment minor is the most common combo. Obviosuly you would end up taking more modulus in econ if you are interested, but just bear in mind the structure - its very flexible but not limitless

Thank you and I wish you well with NatSci.
I want to major in Science & Engineering (Economics modules). I have the maths qualification. So my minor pathway will culture or societies.

Anyone else has offer to UCL BASc and has Accepted ?

Also would be good to hear from current students on the Art and Science with advice There is the thread that really slated the course’s core modules. It would be good to understand experiences of other students and how to make the most of the course

I have a conditional offer but don't know if I will firm it. Anyone going to the open day in a few weeks? I'm an international student so can't go
Ah I've just posted in the other thread.

Anyone a bit concerned about the weighting of the modules? i.e. that only half of the course consists of your actual major/minor and the rest are very general 'core modules'? When I went on the open day last year the current students weren't exactly bursting with enthusiasm over the core modules... plus that quite drastically reduces the amount of technical content in our chosen pathways compared to a more commonly structured degree.

I think you can think about this course in a couple of ways
A) this keeps a student broad an interdisciplinarian but would possibly a masters in technical area most enjoyed
B) use the second and third years to specialise in chosen courses
