Cutting down on sugar

I'm trying to cut down on sugar but as someone who very much loves sweets, this is really hard. Any tips?

Read food labels and cut down on sugar in other areas. There can be sugar in processed and savoury items, like pasta sauces, and foods labelled 'low fat', such as yoghurts, where it's used to maintain the taste.

Cooking from scratch and making g your own sauce means you know what is going into your meal. The occasional treat of sweets won't hurt, and you can go for things like very dark chocolate.

Okay, thank you!
you can also cut down by cutting back on the sugar you put in your tea or coffee.

These are both great points. If you make your own food, it tends to be much healthier. Plus, it's more enjoyable and tastes better. It's easy to look up a recipe for anything online and buy the ingredients. In fact, I've found it's often cheaper than eating less healthy options. If you're just conscious of what you're putting in your body, it's okay to treat yourself to a sweet now and then.
