PgDip or MA?

Hi, I'm currently looking into applying for Social Work programs as an International Student. I graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from the Philippines with some unpaid work experience in a local mental health facility.

I'd like to ask for advice whether having a degree unrelated to Social Work would significantly lower my chances in getting an offer, and whether to apply for a PgDip or an MA with as I noticed the only difference between the two is the dissertation component.

I'm leaning towards the PgDip program as I'm more interested on Social Work practice than research. However, I want to know if I have the option to move forward with the MA if in case I change my mind in the future and want to go on with a dissertation.
