Reference issue

My manager will not give a reference. She doesn’t want me to leave.
I also run my own company on a part time basis.
I got a job offer with the nhs.
They want the last 3 years employment history.
I can’t ask anyone else at work - it’s me, my manager and her cousin and sister (family owned buisness)
Has anyone known the nhs to be flexible in these circumstances? From what I understand- they can be very inflexible
For my company I can provide testimonials from many health care professionals I have helped.

Ah your manager isnt very nice! Yes I’d advice you to provide those testimonials plus email nhs and let them know of ur circumstances!
If you have volunteered in different settings before, you can drive reference from there

You can probably provide evidence of employment history in other ways. Recruitment correspondence, wage slips etc. explain the situation to NHS and see what can be done. Traditional references are in decline, it is just about proving that your cv is accurate
