Are there likely to be more clearing places this year (2023)?

Are there likely to be more clearing places this year (2023) in the more popular universities and courses because grading and assessment methods have resumed to pre-covid state?
Not sure, but if you’ve been rejected from all choices you should look at UCAS Extra before Clearing.
It's impossible to know. If for some reasons, marks are lower, the exam boards can move grade boundaries to give better grades which will enable students meeting their conditions. It would be a logistical nightmare not making adjustments and have lots of unfilled places. If exam boards don't do enough, universities, if they become alarmed by lower grades, can confirm offers even if they are below conditions (probably for near misses only).

Unlikely the most popular universities and courses do not go into clearing and didnt pre covid. Have a look at extra, Any course likely to be in clearing would now be in extra, Courses already closed wont be reopened.
