Final year research project brainstorming

Hi, I'm a final year human nutrition student and I'm looking for help finalising an idea.

I want to do something relating to alcoholic beverages as I'm a big craft beer fan and homebrew as a hobby. My initial idea was something around sour beers as they're rising in popularity and revolve heavily around addition of lacto bacillus or other probiotic bacteria to add acidic flavour from lactic acid etc.

My initial idea was comparing a sour beer to a traditional brew (IPA, pale, or equivalent) to show differences in minerals, vitamins, calories, protein and carbs/sugars and also compare all relative to the abv. Does anyone have any extra suggestions on how to flesh that out a bit better?

My feedback so far is it needs to explain the relevance for the choice of beer which I can't really do for the traditional. Anyway thanks for reading and to anyone with suggestions!
