how hard is media gcse?

im in yr9 but worried if I made the wrong choice picking media. is it content heavy? is it easy? I just need help its stressing me out.

Hi there, it mostly depends on what you think is hard. It's a mix of theory and practice. Some lessons you will look at theories, audiences, representation and history. Other lessons you'll be on Photoshop designing media products or learning how to film stuff. The final exam is two exams and one piece of media Coursework you get to make (film poster, magazine cover etc) which they give you loads of resources for. If you enjoy thinks like film, tv, video games and social media then you will probably find it easy since it's learning about the production of all these things. It's also very up to date with everyday life so it's easier to grasp concepts than in other subjects. Wishing you luck for next year x
