What happens in unirvesity
Hi
That's a broad question. Do you mean student life?

Hello. Universities offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs in various fields of study. They also offer a wide range of extracurricular activities, clubs, and organizations that cater to diverse interests. Moreover, universities offer career services and resources to help students prepare for the job market.

Hey there @SARLARNI SRLRN !
Depending on what you're interested in, there's lots that goes on. During the week you'll have your timetabled lectures and seminars and then outside of that you're expected to do any extra work and weekly readings. Lecturers don't always prompt you with work you're supposed to do outside of sessions, at university level you're expected to independently catch up. Of course, you can email your lecturers with any problems you have. In first year, you have to pass it in order to progress onto second year but it doesn't count towards your final grade. From second year onwards it starts to count towards your degree and for some courses, your worst module grade is discounted from your overall year average.

There's also societies which you can join for either sports or just regular clubs. There will be a sports and societies fair at the start of the year where you can go and meet the teams so make sure to check your university's website for how to sign up to this. Each university has a sports societies night where there will be events in the city that you can go to with your team. It's usually a Wednesday, but this can differ depending on your university. There will be cheap drinks tickets on these sports societies nights as well.

Accommodation-wise, you can sign up to live with some people either privately or through the university. If you apply privately then there's a way you can apply with your friends if you know someone you already want to live with. If not, you'll be randomly allocated flatmates in the same way you would be by applying through the university. Everything to do with your flat is completely up to you, you can choose how you want to decorate, how much you socialise with your flatmates and how often you stay there. University lettings usually have bills included so you also don't have to worry about that. I would recommend joining all of the freshers groups on Facebook in order to meet new people before you go and if you apply privately, even find your flatmates early. If you apply through the university, you will be given your flat after results day so you can find people after that.

During the week, events companies will probably host student nights which will usually be at bars and nightclubs where you can get cheap tickets and cheap drinks. I'd recommend downloading 'Fixr', 'Fatsoma' and 'Skiddle' before you go as these are usually the ticket-buying apps. It's a great way to meet new people and socialise with your flatmates and coursemates. There's also things to do that doesn't involve nights-out if that's not your sort of thing. Try looking on your student union's website for more information on other events going on. I found that getting a part-time job was a great way to meet new people as some of them were students and some of them were people already local to the city so could help me with things to do and cool places to go.

Hope this helped, let me know if you have any more questions!
