Not sure what exam board your writing for but you will probably have a word limit. With that in mind, ensure your introductions are always short and almost everything you write is completely relevant to the question. I would start with one short sentence expressing some general integrated context as in ‘Volver es una veuelta, para Almodovar a sus raíces manchegos.’ I usually then go onto say something like: through [all the themes I’m talking about] [the author etc] presents [the theme of the question]. (obviously write that in Spanish though). And then only if relevant to the question perhaps some other context- like about the Mexican revolution in Como Agua Para Chocolate if the question was about that. I wouldn’t write any more than this really.
