Hi I'm thinking about applying for Law at either UCL/LSE and my concern is that on their website it says you need a 6 in maths but I've seen people say they have got in without one. For reference , at GCSE I attained 5 or 6 grade 9s (honestly can't remember now) and then two 7s , a 6 and a 5 in maths so I don't really know what to do because the head of my sixth form said the system would just 'eliminate ' me but then others have gotten in with it and I feel as if my set of GCSE/s is still good. (also my A-level predicted = A*A*A

I took this up a couple of years ago with people here claiming they got offers from UCL. The pro vice chancellor confirmed they do not ignore the Maths requirement. Only a couple of people got in without it and they were mature students who had left education years previously. if you do not meet UCLs Maths requirement either resit it or dont apply.

One of the quickest ways to get a straight rejection from any Uni is not to meet the specific GCSE requirements.
