What is the difference between a resubmission and a resit.

So, my university has granted my exceptional circumstances and it's likely I get to resubmit my dissertation - would this mean that I need to do my dissertation based on a new topic or make a revision?
Hello there :h:
From my understanding, you would need to submit what you were working on. However, sometimes there are specific rules for resubmission. I would suggest contacting your university to double check!

Resubmissions of this kind usually use the same question, topic etc but not always, so you need to double check the resubmission assignment brief.

You will almost certainly have to submit a revision of your original dissertation. It also depends on whether your exceptional circumstance request is for an extension or a deferral. It would be best to double check with your supervisor.
