This is a online course you can do instead of A-levels, I think although you have to pay for it

no, you need at least english and maths gcse to get into most courses

GCSEs - English, Maths, and Science (sometimes double science).
If you don't have A-levels you can do the route I've done and do an Access to Higher Education course in paramedicine (college taught or online). I didn't do well in A-levels when younger so this provides an alternative if the right grades are achieved and the correct UCAS points are met.
