how many weeks to rent

I found that whether it is an official school apartment or another student apartment. The rental period is fixed. Due to the uncertainty of graduation date, how do you decide the fixed number of weeks of accommodation? If the actual date is more or less than the accommodation date, how do you solve it?

Generally you look at whether you’ll be required to move out over Christmas and Easter (the shortest weekly lets usually require this), for the summer (35-40 week lets usually require you to move out for the summer) or you need a let for the full year - 51-52 week lets are normal for postgraduate students or for undergraduate students who aren’t able/willing to move home over the summer holidays.
