Changed from medicine to chemistry

I've recently changed my mind from doing medicine to chemistry. As I was set on doing medicine before, all of my work experience is quite medicine related (hospital work experience, UNIQ medicine residential), and now I'm thinking what I can do to put in my chemistry personal statement with only a few months left - are there any places that host any sort of opportunities around this time? The only ones I can find all happen around May-July time.
I've already considered reading books/listening to podcasts.
