Can you get A level maths with a BTEC Level 3 Ext Diploma

I was looking on the UCAS website and saw a Uni say "D*DD in acceptable BTEC, plus B in A level Maths" I am doing a level 3 extended diploma in engineering, but as it is an extended diploma I couldn't pick an A level so how would I get a B in A level Maths

You could study Maths A level as a private candidate if you wanted. That's where you study independently (perhaps with the help of a tutor) and then register with a local school or college to take the exams themselves.

Note that the Extended Diploma is the equivalent, in size terms, of three A levels already, so this will not be easy.
