Studying Pharmacy vs Chemistry as a 5th choice

I feel my ps is tailored well to pharmacy (ps for med) so I'd have an advantage in comparison for a chem application but I wanted to know what studying pharmacy would be like compared to chem.

I wanted to have a degree where you engage in various different forms of problem solving similar to maths and physics. I understand chemistry has this to some extent but I wanted to know if this is present in pharmacy as well, or is it just memorisation of facts?

Many Unis will allow you submit a new PS directly to them for a 5th-choice course.
This means you can focus your UCAS PS entirely on Medicine.
As an example, Bath would allow you to do this for Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Natural Sciences etc.
Just email some Unis and ask.
