About 30 seconds? Well, maybe 20 minutes before a Porter has the time to walk the 5 paces and put the mail in pigeonholes. Parcels are generally kept back and a note put in the pigeonhole. Sorting the mail is just one of the many jobs the Porters to, but the pigeonholes are generally in the same room as they are.
