just applied for the role of assitant sales worker at waitrose 2 weeks ago they havent respoded to me ... should i be worry or still hang on??

I wouldn't be too worried if it has only been 2 weeks. However, if you are worried then you can always ring up and ask what stage your application is in.
I have done this before and have been reassured that they have had a high number of applications so it is taking them longer.

Define worried? It sounds unlikely you have been selected for interview on this occasion and the majority of people applying for jobs never hear back.
