i didn’t take science subjects as a level but want to do bio at uni

i took psychology, sociology and literature but i really want to do biology at uni. I don’t really understand how anything works but would i be able to do a foundation biology course at uni without bio as an alevel? Also do i stand a chance of doing a biology degree if i centre my epq around bio? A lot of people say the content overlaps but idk

You’d honestly be much better off taking Biology by itself in a gap year rather than doing a FY.

There are some specific Science Foundation years at top Unis for those with good A level grades but in the 'wrong' subjects -
Southampton - Science Foundation Year | University of Southampton
Nottingham - Science With Foundation Year - The University of Nottingham
etc etc
If you want, you can apply to UWE’s foundation year (passing is an automatic guarantee place on the course the following year) and can say from experience it is the easiest course in the planet.

You can do biology at A Level if you want, the only downside is this foundation year limits you to one university, that being said I currently go to UWE (did my undergrad there too and graduated five years ago) and absolutely loved it! The university provides so much student support if you are in trouble (I’m not afraid to go to my lecturers if I need help).

No specific course requirements either;

I don't know if it still does this but the Foundation Year actually offers several entrees onto several courses, when I was doing it in 2013, the opportunities for the foundation year were as follows;

Biology
Forensics
Psychology
Environmental Science
Biomedical Science

Personally I done the Biomed route. =)
