Capitalisation - Job Titles

I know it has been asked before, yet I am still unsure of the correct answer. Should I capitalise a job title. I know that I would use capital letters to describe a person's job role, eg Sally Smith, Director.

I am looking more at this style: Jessica's day-to-day living had improved with the help of her support worker (or is it Support Worker)?

Thank you

You capitalise if it is a proper noun. In the example you use, it is a common noun so does not need to be capitalised.
