help picking men’s perfume

I need to get a bd gift for a friend but have no idea about men’s perfumes
Any suggestions?
Perfume I remember he liked the smell of when shopping was Ralph Lauren polo red parfum or the blue YSL Y one, does anyone know if these are any good or know of anything better?

He ran out of Dior sauvage too but I feel like everyone has that and wanted to get something different

hm, im not sure, perfume can smell different to everyone. i think both cafe rose by tom ford and phantom by paco rabanne smell pretty good! the polo red one is good too!
