Cardiff is known for its nightlife and there is generally something for everyone. It depends on what kind of music you enjoy - I could give you some suggestions. Being a capital city, there are so many options in the city centre, very close together which is really convenient and easy.

Similar question here - we're from Bristol but have done a few weekends in Cardiff over the years and have usually done the Greyfriars end rather than St Mary's Street... are there many bars left on Greyfriars now, I think Yates' closed a year or so back?
Hi there,
I'd recommend St Mary Street over Greyfriars area these days. Though there are still Live Lounge, Slug and Lettuce and Revolución de Cuba on The Friary.
