Is it wrong to use an escort?

I am a single man and just want sex not a relationship. I have booked to see an escort but am so worried about getting seen by her neighbours, photos of me being taken.

Most escorts like to be very discrete, so chances are the neighbours won't know what she's up to. As long as she's working alone, not forced or on drugs, it's perfectly legal in the UK. Also, you say you're single so if photo's were taken, who is going to be bothered ? Act like you're going to visit someone you know and people won't have any need to be suspicious.

What about work

As I said, seeing escorts is not illegal in the UK. As long as it's not illegal or compromising the work you do for your employer, what you do in your private life is none of their business. In fact (contrary to popular belief), the biggest users of escorts (the high-end ones, at least) are actually businessmen who are away from home and want some company for the evening.

Think about it, the escort probably has quite a few "friends" visiting her, do you think nosey neighbours are going to have the time / energy to do that to all of them? Not to mention they would have to follow you home, wait outside your place and follow you to work, sounds like a lot of hassle to me.

Unless you're a high-profile person (a celebrity, or a sports star), I think you're OK. If you're that concerned, then use a hotel or travel to a different town where no one knows you.
