How much does it affect your future career etc if you have to retake your a-levels or if you chose to retake them...so u did them over 2 yrs and didnt do as well as u hoped or even rlly rubbish, so u retook them the following yr and did wonderfully...so u ended up taking 3 yrs... any advise would be appreciated
It will help in the short term to get into uni depending on what grades you get but honestly in the longterm it will be your degree that matters as jobs dont even ask you for what a levels you got and wont care what dates u get them just that either u hv them or u hv the degree in the relevant subject. Just go at ur own pace and everything wil work out whteher its 3 yrs or 2 yrs to get them hope that makes sense and good luck with everythin

Bath, as just one example, does not have a problem with retakes or A levels taken over 3 years, and it wouldnt disadvantage your application, and many other Unis will have the same view. However, this does depend very much on each University's policy - and it can also be different for subjects at the same Uni - so you just need to check their website for any info about this, phone or drop them an email - before you apply.
