If you are thinking of applying for a nursing degree in future, consider work experience that would provide you with similar skills and values that a nurse would have. For example, you could look at work experience in a local care home, this links great to the 6Cs of nursing as you would need to use communication skills with residents in the home and people working around you, you would be demonstrating care and compassion, and enhancing your competency skills.
You might also be able to find work experience opportunities in local healthcare organisations in administrative or clerical areas that would provide you with an insight into supportive side of healthcare and broaden your knowledge.
Charities are also a good way in for work experience as you can use the skills mention above in this area too.
I hope that helps! 🙂
