Hi, I go city and I study Econ. Im going to try be concise:

QM looks SO old - idk about you but I can't thrive in a poor environment.

CITY - super well tech, everything is built in and just works

The modules are also way better an in third year its all electives

Extremely supportive department

I have an internship offer and a top UK bank and loads of my classmates have good offers

And the area is so much better, with a great affordable places around

QM - I was thinking about going qm aswell but after visiting just no. it just looks like my high school - undeveloped.

At the end of the day it's what you prioritise, the course is also important and you should pick a place you can thrive at!
FYI if you do a Bayes Course then a million times better, they are incredible with student experience and recognition.
Also from August city will be known as CITY St Georges Uol, which is really good as we would have a medical school and a lot better facilities overall!

Hi, what's the social life like at City compared to other London unis?

To be blunt the uni london nightlife/ social is non existent if you do not live out (a good accommodation).
I found it really hard adjusting living at home and even applied for uni again during my term one but once I found my friend it was amazing. Expensive but really good. But London is not it for student nightlife as it’s not a student city and many of the clubs just have weirdos there. Society wise it’s difficult bc everyone commuting no one really goes that much than the people living it out. I’d say the best uni for social life in London is UCL. But on the basis you get a good accommodation and good flatmates, and that goes with every other London uni.
Personally I wouldn’t stay in London if it’s not STGEORGES, UCL, QMUL, KINGS, CITY OR LSE.

For city I live it only because I found a solid group of friends. The societies are sort of active but also not. But London unis are just like that. They’re very international based and commuters so it’s quiet hard to get the student atmosphere unlike notts

But if you’re not from London you would probably love it bc it’s such a busy city and you would definitely have to live out but people are already from London if it’s not those unis then it is not work staying

Lmk if you have anything else
