I applied for a different course through ucas but in results day if i get grades for a different course (eg law) would i be able to swap my subjects or would they not allow it?
There is absolutely no guarantee, and if you wanted to be considered for another course it is better to ask now as chances are much lower on results day or later that they will still have spaces to consider.

This goes double for extremely competitive courses like law, where it's almost certain they would simply state the course is full and if you want to be considered for it you need to reapply in a new application cycle.

Law at either KCL or UCL would not be entered into Clearing.

If you are already unsure about what you want to study, then it might be wise to withdrawn your UCAS application and plan a gap year. Be aware that for Law at top Unis you will also need to take LNAT in the autumn.
