how can i access moocs?

what are moocs and why might doing them be beneficial? where can i access them? thanks

FutureLearn has a lot of MOOCs so that may be a good place to start

FutureLearn has mainly UK Uni courses - have a look here - Browse Free Online Courses - FutureLearn - you can search for a specific subject area in the 'magnifying lass' section top-right. They are FREE - you do not need to register or pay anything.

A good USA site is Coursera - Coursera | Degrees, Certificates, & Free Online Courses - same as above - search for the area you are interested in, and you dont need to register or pay.

Also - the BBC has thousands of podcasts on a massive range of topics - great for PS examples of 'how I'm thinking outside the A level syllabus'. Just scroll through the episodes until you find something relevant/interesting to listen to :
