help twin block braces asap

rn it's 1:43 am and am contemplating whether to wear my twin blocks to school or not. i got them 3 days ago but wasn't wearing that much but more than 12 hrs a day and i didn't have school but now i do in a few hrs and idk if I should wear it. I can speak but it's hard and people don't unde4stand me well and my orthonditsr recommended 22hrs/day but im wonde3ing if j can wear about 17 a day cause i don't rly want to w3ar it to school im scared
