Same as any Queen Mary student. You'll probably never venture out of the main road between Stepney Green and Mile End tube station. Actually, that's a lie - as a biomed student you'll have lectures in the Whitechapel campus, which is just a little further down the road (about a 20 minute walk from the main campus). And now, for my experience:

We have an official student bar called Draper's, but the real bar we all go to is the Wetherspoons just down the road in Stepney Green. You'll have a great deal of choices for societies to choose from if you want stuff to do in the evenings on campus. There's also Genesis, the local independent cinema, which is a usual student haunt.

We usually go out on Fridays and Saturday nights to do something on central London, but not always - it's expensive! You'll probably find yourself going often to central London anyway because there's always something to do there. If you don't want to be bored, you won't be over here. There's always something going on, some event or anything, and you can always rope a person or two to join your plans :smile:
