Modules

What happens if you fail one or two modules but pass the rest do you have to redo 1st year.

Completely depends on the university, and how many times you've already failed the module(s).

Do they repeat a year?
For a nursing programme usually you need a pass in all parts of the course from each year before being allowed to progress to the next year. This is an NMC linked expectation.

You can check with your university regarding their assessment strategy. At my university it kinda works like this.
Module 1 - it was 10 weeks long, and had a final exam, If you failed or missed it you have 1 attempt to resit it.
Module 2 -its also 10 weeks long, we have to submit a research review, if you fail you get a chance to resubmit.
Module 3 its all year long - the exam is made up of five parts that you do online, anytime between two dates. You can resit the exam during the assessment period up to twice, and the highest scores are carried over.
Module 4 - Is linked to our placement - you must pass both placements, and submit the correct doumentation, pass a drug calculation exam and complete some online mandatory e-learning modules. The placement is structured through a document called e-pad which is used to check your nursing skills and knowledge whilst out on placement.
