Sheffield Dentistry 2025 Entry

If I take alevel biology chemistry and psychology for alevels. Will unis like birmingham uni prefer applicants which take alevel bio, chem and physics/ maths for their alevels over psychology? or even for medicine as I am not sure if i want to be a dentist or doctor yet.

Hi, I spoke with a lot of unis about this and all of them said that they have no preference for the 3rd A level as long as you have bio and chem

your ucat is less competitive than some so i’d say avoid applying to those with high ucat requirements

hi does anyone know when sheffield state GCSE A in english maths and science....is this 1 science as i took all seperates and not the combined. I cant seem to get a straight answer from the admission team.

The cutoff over the previous 2-3 years has remained the same at 2690. Therefore, I am not sure if itll stay same or go up. Idk if its worth the risk when you would easily get interviews at plymouth, cardiff, liverpool and dundee.

No it will be all 3 sciences, or the two sciences if you do dual. It is just all of the GCSE science grades you have obtained I assume.

Yes I think there’s a solid chance I’m applying to sheff with 2760 B2 99988888887 and achieved A*AA- the cut off has been 2690 for 3 years so even if it does go up our scores should still be good enough (at least I’m hoping)

I completed a levels this summer and got A*A*A in chem bio French
,9s in : rs, history, arabic, French
8s in : combined science (my school didn't offer triple), maths, English language
7 in English lit
UCAT : 2690 b2
where should I apply with these stats??

Guys if I’m eligible for contextual, then do I get a lowered ucat? Or is it only reduced alevels (I’m still with my stats for non-contextual tho)

Does anyone know how sheffield actually assess applicants for the dental course? As in, do they rank everyone or do they give everyone interviews if they meet the minimum requirements like manchester?
